Strath Glebe Bed & Breakfast is easy to find.

Once you are on the Isle of Skye, whether you have crossed the famous Skye Bridge or come off one of the ferries at Armadale, Kylerhea or Uig, head for the village of Broadford.

If approaching from the south turn left just after the Waterfront fish & chip bar onto the B8083 sign-posted Elgol. If you are coming down from the north, turn right immediately after the bridge beside the Broadford Hotel gardens onto the same B8083.

You will pass the Broadford Hotel and it’s Gabbro Bar on your right and begin climbing gently out of Broadford. A short 2 miles on along a single track road – with plenty of passing places - you will reach the village of Swordale (Suardal in Gaelic). All six houses in the village are spread out over ½ a mile on the left hand side of the road and Strath Glebe is the last of these sitting in an elevated position at the end of a long driveway and the only one after the ruined church Cill Chriosd,

There is a sign at the bottom of the drive, so you shouldn’t accidentally drive up to Strath Glebe Cottage which has its drive way just before Cill Chriosd. Turn left at the sign and cross the wide cattlegrid and the B&B is the house at the top of the drive.

Our full address is Strath Glebe, Swordale, Near Broadford, Isle of Skye, IV49 9AS and the postcode seems to work fine for all SatNav systems, though they usually say you have reached your destination at some point between the second and third house in the village which makes sense as that would be the middle!
